Camera System Update

February 2, 2008 2:54 pm

We have had some users report a no signal message from the DVR, when trying to connect the camera to the DVR. This is due to the camera being connected to the wrong port on the system.
The camera is connected to the audio/video adaptor cable. The end of the audio/video adaptor cable is then connected to the LANC controller cable NOT the A/V input port located on the DVR. The DVR A/V input port will accept the camera signal but does not provide power out to power the camera and microphone. The port located on the LANC controller provides power and accepts the video/audio signals coming in. See pictures below.

DVR Battery Replacement

January 17, 2008 2:52 pm

This tutorial will cover the proper way to remove and install the DVR batteries. Incorrect installation can cause battery contacts to bend and voiding your warranty!

First removing the battery.

Remove the battery door on the back of the DVR, by pressing the clip down.

There is a plastic tab on the end of the battery. Grab this tab and pull up to remove battery from DVR case.

Installation of new battery. Incorrect installation can cause battery contacts to bend and voiding your warranty!

If you look at the top of the battery you will see 3 metal plates.

These metal plates need to make contact with the 3 metal pins inside the DVR case.

This this the important part. Place the battery in at an angle with the contact side going in first. Slide the battery forward at an angle so the 3 metal pins make contact with the 3 plates on the battery. See picture

Then press the back of the battery in.

Replace the DVR battery door on the DVR unit.
